Okay, I want to get this other Spongebob Squarepants bootleg toy out of the way. Then I can post more Super Hero bootleg toys.
What we got here is a two set series of bootleg toys featuring Spongebob Squarepants. There are six figures total in the series. Each figure features Spongebob performing some kind of activity.
Here’s the first pack with Spongebob singing, holding a hamburger. Heh, I thought he was dribbling a basketball. Then I read the back of the card.and The middle figure comes with a butterfly net. The figures measure about three inches tall and come mounted on a stand. I never opened up the packages, so I can’t tell you if these bootleg figures can be removed from the stand.

This second set comes with Spongebob the cop, Spongebob the golfer and Spongebob the pirate.
This set shows what kind of quality figures you will be getting. Spongebob the pirate’s arm has already come off of the figure. After looking over the other figures, it looks like removing the arms wouldn’t be too difficult. Now if I’m a parent, I wouldn’t want my kid playing with these toys. If they come apart so easy, what’s going to prevent a young kid from trying to eat the pieces. Even worse case, what if these figures contain lead? Take these things out of the package? No way! No Chance! Never gonna happen!
Each one of the figures in this set has an LED in the figure’s mouth. Press a button on the back and the LED lights up.

Here’s a shot of the back of the card. Naturally, no trademark or copyright info anywhere. I say that about all the bootleg toys I review, don’t I?

Were these figures based on an actual toy line? Man… I don’t know. I never followed the Spongebob Squarepants toy line. But it wouldn’t surprise me if these figures were based on real toy molds. Yeah, I know, I could probably use google to find out. But it’s early Saturday morning and I’d rather go make breakfast than continue to sit in front of this here computer.

I think they’re based on one of the Spongebob Burger King Kid’s Meal Toy Promotions. In fact, I’m positive.
