I Still Haven’t Seen It All…

April 8th, 2010 · 8 Comments · Misc. Bootlegs, Power Rangers

So I was out and about hunting around for new bootleg toys (found some cool Spidey stuff too!). When I left one of the joints I haunt in my quest for bootleg toys, I actually paid attention to what they had outside their little shop.

Take a look at this cheap ‘tricycle’….

So it’s made of plastic and will probably fall apart pretty darn quickly.  But take a good look at the front of this thing. What’s under that clear plastic bubble???

Heh, Power Rangers baby! That’s what’s under the bubble.

Every time I think those folks who come up with this stuff can’t top themselves, they surprise me with something new.

This thing, I applaud simply for its originality. Hey, when the bike finally gives up the ghost, the kid can take a hammer to the bubble and voila! three action figures to play with.
This is brilliant, simply brilliant.

Gotta love the generic anime stickers on the thing too. Odd design too.

I wouldn’t have easily missed it in the first pic, but nice one…

I bet kids will go ahead and
    crack that bubble open when
mom & dad aren’t looking to
    get those figures out.
    BAM! BAM! BAM! CRACK!
    More play!

I would think that was the coolest idea for a novelty bike if was not so well….poorly execut ted. I mean what kid didn’t pretend to be on a speeder bike or a rocketship when they were like 5? This is like having your own crew with you. I can’t believe that hasbro hasn’t done something like this with GI-joes or some other action line. Deck the bike out like a vehicle, you are the engine, plus action figure storage.

I’ve seen a bike like that before, but it didn’t have action figures inside it I think it had a plastic bear head or something. It was more of girly style.

I agree with John Prime or even put some type of dolls in one for girls.

Reminds me of those popping lawnmowers i had as a kid but with action figures inside it.

A Tricycle with a “Bonus”, that was kinda surprising.

It would be nice to see more Bootleg stuff, keep up the good work, dude.
