Here’s another oldie. I’d say it’s a goodie too, but it really isn’t.
I bought this thing for one reason only and you’ll know why when you see the pic.

Well, you know why I bought this thing, right? The Imitator certainly bears a resemblance to a certain Terminator character. The figure itself really isn’t about the robot from the future, but the artwork on the card sure does evoke thoughts of Arnold.

This wind up toy is part of a whole series of Crawling Heroes. Along with The Imitator, you have The Pirate, Emergency Unit and Anti-Terror Troop. Of course the Crawling Soldier series features one figure with the great soldier name of The Highland Rat Squad.

Here’s a close up of The Imitator’s face. The artwork looks so much better in knocking off The Terminator character. But at least the makers of this figure got the colors on the package to more or less match up with the figure.
Okay, so this figure is kind of hokey and probably doesn’t belong on this site. But hey! I paid at least a buck for it back in the day (whenever that day may have been). So I’m going to force you to have to look at this.
So take that!

OMG when did Street Fighters Guile/Character in Doom games become a bootleg Terminator?

This is the first time I’ve ever seen honesty in bootleg packaging. “Imitator” indeed.
Also, that’s a bit of a Packaging Fail in that first shot, isn’t it?
